Facts and stats

Birmingham TV is a local television channel for Birmingham, Solihull, Wolverhampton and the Black Country which launched on February 28th 2015 as Big Centre TV.

The channel was owned by Kaleidoscope TV, a West Midlands based company which specialises in archive programming. The licence was originally awarded to City TV, however the company went into administration before launch and Kaleidoscope were able to acquire the licence with only three months to launch the channel before the cut-off point for the licence to expire.

Made Television acquired the channel in Autumn 2016 and relaunched as Made in Birmingham on 8 November 2016, it then relaunched as Birmingham TV in August 2018.
