Facts and stats
Radio Essex was formerly two stations, Southend Radio and Chelmsford Radio. Radio Essex DAB launched in June 2013 as a DAB service of the two, and the FM stations were merged on 23 March 2015.
From August 2017, Radio Essex flipped format from AC to a Top 40 hit music format.
