Discovered by John Peel in 1973, Mal (Maldwyn) Pope went on to sign for Elton John's Rocket Record Company. As being a recording artists and writing songs for people like Cliff Richard and The Hollies, Mal has been a regular presenter on BBC Radio Wales as well a presenting shows for BBC Radio 2 and 4. He has also carved out a career as a TV host www.themalpopeshow.tv
