- Pair work-out six times a week in quest to shed combined 55st weight
- Admitted in documentary they spent bulk of £2,000 benefits on fast food
- Vowed to get healthy and have since lost more than 13st between them
An obese couple dubbed Britain's fattest scroungers have been working out in public as they continue their quest to shed more pounds from their once combined 55 stone weight.
Stephen Beer, 45, and wife Michelle, 43, became national hate figures earlier this year when they appeared on Channel 5 documentary 'Too Fat To Work'.
On the programme they revealed that, between them, they receive £2,000 a month from the state - a combination of Disability Living Allowance, Jobseeker's Allowance and other entitlements - the bulk of which they splurged on daily fry-ups, fish suppers and double kebab dinners.

They even used their benefit money to pay for a £3,000 wedding, much to the outrage of hard-working Brits, which their sagging bellies prevented them from consummating.
But since then they've vowed to beat the bulge, and now work out as much as six times a week with their new personal trainer.
The married pair - who have 13 children between them - were photographed getting into shape with a Saturday afternoon cardio and weights session in a Plymouth park.

Dressed in sports trainers and loose fitting tops, the couple were put through their paces as they lifted heavy tyres and kettle-bells and completed walking routines on the grass.

Because of their size, they were unable to make love, even having to pass on their wedding night.
But, after embarking on a six-month weight-loss programme, the pair were able to have sex for the first time.
And they certainly made up for lost time, with 43-year-old Michelle confirming in June that she's fallen pregnant.

Speaking at the time, Mrs Beer, who is 4ft 11in tall, said: 'I am determined this pregnancy won’t ruin my dieting. I will still eat healthily and exercise.
'I hope to get down to 10st and a size 12 and Steve would like to be 13st. We both want to be healthy for our baby.'
Mrs Beer added: 'I am looking forward to a happy, healthy future with our new baby and proving we can change our lives for the better.

The happy - but morbidly obese - couple share a smile on their wedding day, before they embarked on their weight loss regime

The pair weighed 55st between them when they appeared on the Channel 5 documentary in January, earning them national notoriety which led to an appearance on This Morning
'When you’re so big, your love life goes out the window. You can’t even make love.
'But since we’ve lost weight we’ve done it for the first time in well over a year. I felt sorry for the caravan floor!'
To celebrate, the pair are planning to renew their wedding vows.
