Southern Cross and 10 extend affiliate partnership

10 titles will continue on SCA in Queensland, Southern NSW, and regional Victoria until the end of 2023.

Southern Cross Austereo has extended its agreement with Network 10 to continue to broadcast channels 10, 10 Bold, 10 Peach and 10 Shake in the three aggregated television markets of regional Queensland, Southern NSW, and regional Victoria until 31 December 2023.

Both parties are in ongoing discussions regarding a further extension of the affiliation. SCA and Network 10 have also agreed to explore greater collaboration and synergy between national sales teams.

Jarrod Villani, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Commercial Officer, Paramount Australia and New Zealand, said: “Over the past two years, SCA’s strength in regional Australia has ensured a great experience for audiences and advertisers across Network 10 content. Our ongoing collaboration will only prove to strengthen our services and opportunities afforded to advertisers and further cement our successful partnership.”

John Kelly, SCA’s incoming Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said: “We welcome the extension of our affiliation with Network 10 and look forward to promoting 10’s suite of premium content in regional Australia to deliver outstanding results for advertisers and reliable returns for SCA’s shareholders.”

  1. Random thought but is Mel B the first/only celeb to be a judge for an entertainment/talent show on all 3 of the main FTA networks in Australia?
    *xfactor/7
    *the voice kids/9
    *masked singer/10
I think that gives her in a unique resume unless theres some local celeb that’s probably done it

  2. Probably get more viewers if they partnered with Channel 31.
Anyway, SCA’s trying to offload their television investments.
Perhaps the Murdoch clan might be interested…

    1. … yep, two companies with no interest in those television assets, both hoping a white knight will ride in and take them off their hands for squillions of bucks … maybe more likely Bruce Gordon would still be on their wish list rather than the other lot?

  3. In Tasmania SCA-owned TNT is a Seven affiliate with 10 on a WIN/SCA-owned TDT channel. Where SCA had a choice they went for Seven affiliation.
“Jarrod Villani, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating and Commercial Officer, Paramount Australia and New Zealand”. Try fitting that on a business card.

  4. I mean everyone else is coupled up right – they would have show themselves in the food had they not coupled up.

Prime was bought by 7, so 7 have their own regional affiliate.

Win is coupled up with 9 for the long term.
