On Monday Seven moved into Melbourne Quarter Towers, beginning a new chapter in the southern city.
Seven has several floors in MQT with Sport, Sales, Finance and P&C having made the move. Since 2019 playout has been handled from French’s Forest, NSW. AFL also moved into the building in February.
HSV7 will complete a move from Broadcast Centre Melbourne (pictured below), next to Docklands’ Marvel Stadium, with admin and news within the next few weeks.
Seven News will soon move into new studios at MQT at 695 Collins St, Docklands.
BCM has been home to Seven since 2002, after departing its heritage Dorcas St. South Melbourne home.
A formal opening is expected in June.

But how many years until media will stop using that Harbour Esplanade exterior stock images in SWM related headlines? Given they do so regularly, not even using Seven’s Sydney HQ (probably because there’s been so many fragmented sites there over the years and they’ve all looked boring in comparison). I’ll say in about a decade LOL! It’s probably because that giant red ‘7’ is so commanding.
I still see Nine’s Willoughby fence in stories.
Do you know if the big red 7 will be moving there also? It can’t possibly not…
I would doubt it.
Are you going to ask for it? Could start your tvt museum…
I’d prefer a black 7 surrounded by a multicolour circle
