CNN was the first 24-hour news channel to launch in the world. It went live in 1980.

CNN is a set of international editions of the English-language CNN International, and the domestic service CNN US. Both are known on-air as simply CNN, and share some programming. Additionally, there are some domestic versions of CNN in places like India, Indonesia, Japan and Turkey which broadcast under a local name.
