Northern Irish radio and TV broadcaster UTV Media said this evening it may sell some or all of its UK independent local radio stations.
Any sale would not include talkSPORT, Sport Magazine, talkSPORT International or UTV's Irish radio stations, the company said in a statement released just before the market closed today.
The company, which has 13 radio stations in England and Wales, said the statement was in response to UK media speculation.
Its UK local radio stations saw revenue and operating profit increase in the six months to the end of June
"A further announcement will be made in due course, as appropriate," the statement concluded.
