Sales veteran Richard Hunwick joins ARN
Richard Hunwick will next week join ARN as its new director of sales, total audio, marking his departure from Adgile after less than a year.
The sales veteran joins ARN after only 8 months as Adgile’s chief commercial officer, which was his first role since departing media giant Nine.

A boyish Richard Hunwick
Hunwick spent 13 years with Nine, having joined in late 2010 as director of sales in Brisbane. He worked his way up over a decade to become national director of sales for television and radio, before his last promotion in 2022 that saw him oversee all total television sales.
Now, at ARN, he will lead the network’s national sales team with responsibilities including metro, regional, and digital revenues across live broadcast, live streaming, and podcast assets.
“The media landscape is changing rapidly and ARN is perfectly positioned to take advantage of emerging markets and opportunities,” Hunwick said in a media release on Wednesday.
“The opportunity to work with Michael again and to join the ARN commercial team to drive innovation and create massive ideas for brands across our leading total audio platforms is incredibly exciting.
“ARN has a bold vision for the future, and I’m looking forward to being part of it,” he said.
Michael Stephenson, chief operating officer at ARN and Hunwick’s former Nine sales colleague, said Hunwick’s reputation and results “speaks for themselves”.
“His deep understanding of the emerging media landscape and cross-platform advertising, combined with his deep client relationships and his proven ability to build high-performance teams, makes him the perfect addition to our team,” he said in the release.
“We now have the number one sales director in the country, and I can’t wait to work with him again.”
Hunwick’s appointment is effective April 14.
Adgile announced two senior sales appointments earlier this week in the wake of Hunwick’s departure.
