Radio TechCon, the UK Radio industry’s radio engineering and technology conference, will take place on Monday, 28th November, 2016 at the Arts Theatre, Great Newport Street, London.
Radio TechCon is aimed at broadcast engineers, technologists and anybody with an interest in radio, audio, technology and engineering – including programme-makers and managers. It aims to take a deeper look into technical issues affecting the industry but remain as accessible as possible to all.
The event, previously part of Radio Festival, returns under the new management of its former committee members, and will continue to be supported by The Radio Academy.
The one-day conference will feature a mixture of speakers from across technical disciplines as well as mini ‘how-to’ masterclasses and case studies from real-life projects.
Ann Charles, from organisers TBC Media says, “We are really excited to be able to bring creative engineers and tech-loving producers together to share their love of all things audio. Radio TechCon is a day to celebrate all the work that goes on behind-the-scenes to keep our radio stations on air and our content shared online.”
Roger Cutsforth, Managing Director of The Radio Academy, says, “Engineering and technology are vital to radio’s future and we are delighted to support TBC Media in this exciting new chapter for Radio TechCon. Whilst an independent event, Academy members will benefit from discounted ticket prices and we wish TBC Media the very best of luck.”
“We know how important TechCon is to the existing radio technical community,” added Ann Charles. “Now our challenge is to extend that famous welcome and relaxed atmosphere to even more attendees.”
“This is such an exciting phase and I am pleased we are all able to work together to champion radio and technology. The new Radio TechCon team is looking forward to welcoming all of the delegates in November!”
Tickets for Radio TechCon will be released shortly. There will be a discount for Radio Academy members. To sign up for ticket alerts, go to http://www.radiotechcon.com.
