The Nova Scotia-headquartered manufacturer of AM and FM radio broadcast transmitters is heading to the 2025 NAB Show with two new features for its VX Fm transmitter series.
For Nautel, this means internal audio playout and streaming.
The VX FM transmitter series comes in power levels ranging from 150 watts to 6kw.
Now with audio player functionality, users will be able to upload content locally or remotely via an IP connection to make a playlist; no USB, additional cards, or site visits are necessary. The built-in audio player can use the file playlist as an audio source and is often used as an audio loss backup.
Meanwhile, streaming is coming to the VX Series, including support for Icecast and Shoutcast; this enhancement is planned for release in the coming months, Nautel says.
Streaming input, internal audio playout and Nautel’s Orban Inside audio processing are deployment options.
