Ministry of Sound Radio closes down

Ministry of Sound LIVE, the radio service from the London-based dance group, appears to have closed. The service - still broadcasting on TuneIn - tells listeners that "Ministry of Sound Live is no longer broadcasting" in a short looped announcement.

We look forward to sharing with you the next stage of Ministry of Sound and want to thank you for listening.

The closure page also allows listeners to join their mailing list. Ministry of Sound has also been removed from Radioplayer.

Ministry of Sound Radio started in 1999, broadcasting on the MoS website. It then broadcast live on DAB in London from 2000. It became, according to Akamai, the world's most listened-to dance radio station. The DAB service was closed in December 2002 (making way for a rebroadcast, in London, of Yorkshire's Galaxy); and the station continued online since then.

Ministry of Sound LIVE has over 480,000 followers on TuneIn, making it one of the top 20 UK services on the platform.

Ministry of Sound also produces syndicated programming and licences its brand overseas. In Australia, Ministry of Sound Radio is presented by Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet. It airs late Saturday night (from 1.00am to 3.00am) on over a hundred radio stations in the country.
