Midwest Communications Joins Free Radio Alliance

Midwest Communications has joined the Free Radio Alliance in its fight to oppose a performance tax on U.S. radio stations. "Midwest Communications, a family owned media company headquartered in Wausau, Wisconsin with 72 radio stations across middle America, is a great example of what the Free Radio Alliance is about-serving local communities," said FRA) spokesperson Peggy Binzel.
"Founded in 1958, Midwest grew from a single station to a community-focused group of stations serving listeners in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Indiana, Illinois and Tennessee, all while maintaining their small-town feel," added Binzel.
"In a world that is rapidly moving toward pay-only music, entertainment and news options, Midwest Communications and local radio stations across the nation stand out as part of an industry whose business model is to provide local listeners the best in music, news and information-all for free," she said.
