DALLAS — The individual who has served as VP of Sales for Audacy‘s radio stations in North Texas since January 2024 has been elevated to the role of SVP/Market Manager.

This puts Bob Mackay in the driver’s seat for News/Talk KRLD-AM 1080, Classic Hits KSPF-FM “98.7 The Spot,” Adult Hits KJKK-FM “100.3 Jack FM,” Alternative KVIL-FM “ALT 103.7,” Sports Talk KRLD-FM “105.3 The Fan,” KMVK-FM Regional Mexican “La Grande 107.5” and HD2 Tejano-focused “Fierro,” the market’s home for LGBTQ+ focused “Channel Q,” and KRLD-AM, home of the Texas State Networks.

Don’t expect Audacy to name a successor to Mackay: He’ll continue as VP/Sales while taking on the bigger role for the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

Mackay takes duties held until now by Brian Purdy. He will continue as Regional President for Audacy, with oversight of 16 markets. “Bob is the ideal leader to pioneer Audacy Dallas into its next chapter—his passion, vision and deep understanding of our business make him an incredible asset to our team, our audience and our advertisers,” said Purdy. “It’s been an incredible joy serving our Dallas team, community and customers over the past 20-plus years, and I’m excited to see all that’s ahead under Bob’s leadership.”

Mackay added, “I am grateful for Brian Purdy’s mentorship over the past year, which has prepared me for this new role with Audacy Dallas-Fort Worth. I am thrilled to be working alongside the great team that has been assembled here over many years. It’s an honor to be tapped for this leadership position and to build on the great culture Brian has created.”

Mackay served as Market Manager of Audacy’s Austin stations from 2020 to 2024. Prior to joining the company formerly known as Entercom, Mackay was President of Marsades Media, specializing in audio and digital marketing.

Mackay’s resume also includes role as Director of Sales for Urban One in Houston; General Sales Manager for Cox Radio; Vice President and Director of Sales at Emmis Communications; and positions at iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Communications.
