KBPI Will Continue To Rock The Rockies

Its call letters reflect the first owner and GM of the radio brand serving Denver. From June 1965 through April 1994, it had been at 105.9 MHz. From that date through late December 2017, it could be found at 106.7 MHz.


Today, Bill Pierson’s legacy lives on via a 250-watt FM translator covering Denver, but not nearby Boulder, Evergreen or Longmont. Still, iHeartMedia has continued to attract listeners to Active Rock “KBPI,” and an asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC  indicates it plans to continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
