We have a rare vacancy for a station producer to join our winning team, based at Radio Clyde in Glasgow.
If you are ready to step up a level, we want to hear from you. You will have experience in producing breakfast and daytime radio within a competitive market-place and you’ll be creative with meticulous attention to detail.
Working on all aspects of the daytime shows across all platforms, you will produce engaging, relatable and entertaining content.
You will have ambition to drive audience figures & win industry recognition.
Technical knowledge of broadcast studios including competency in editing audio is essential.
Main Responsibilities:
Generate and implement content ideas for the programme in line with the brand plan
Coach and develop talent to most effectively execute on air content
To have a good understanding of target audiences tastes through experience and research and create relevant content
To deliver the stations format in line with the Content Directors requirements and brand plan
To have a good understanding of contemporary and back catalogue music using this knowledge to help presenters enhance the listeners enjoyment of the musical output
To ensure correct playout of the stations scheduled music
To ensure correct playout of the stations advertising breaks
To ensure presenters deliver commercial promotion or sponsorship activity as requested
To be well informed of locally relevant news and events
Responsible for show preparation for every broadcast in line with Programme Directors requirements and brand plan
To have up to date knowledge of media law and OFCOM regulations
To ensure presenters comply with the media law and OFCOM regulations in all broadcasts
Responsible for operation of the technical systems required for playout and pre-recording during your broadcast period
To contribute to a positive and motivating environment that is both beneficial and enjoyable for everyone to work in
The receiving of guests to the station and the representing of the company at outside broadcasts and functions
The operation of office and technical equipment as required
The driving of Company vehicles as necessary
