A full-time journalism job at JACK fm Oxfordshire in Oxford
Posted 5 January 2018, 11.49am gmt

The JACKfm news team is expanding!

Fancy working for a growing and exciting group of stations in the City of Dreaming Spires?

Ok, so the building is rather dumpy, but the team here at JACK are friendly, creative, ambitious ... and partial to a cheeky beverage.

We're a small team, but we punch well above our weight. Last year we came 2nd in the 'News Team of the Year' category at the IRN Awards.

Being part of our news team would mean reading bulletins for three Oxfordshire stations, plus our national station Union JACK. You'd also be part of the launch of our brand new baby - a second national DAB station - due in the Spring.

We're looking for someone with a great voice, strong interview technique and an eye for an exclusive story. But also, we're after someone who fits into the nutty, but passionate JACK family.

We're also after someone who can get involved in other aspects of the business - whether that be social media, our breakfast show - JACK's Morning Glory - or being a 'face of JACK' at one of Oxfordshire's awesome music festivals.

You'll need to be media law-savvy, ideally have a BJTC or equivalent, as well as some professional radio experience (unless you're just really blooming good already!)

The role is full-time, and would include some weekend work.

This job closed on 22 January, 2018 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
