Jon Butler

Jon Butler is a radio presenter and disc jockey from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He began his radio career from the tender age of 14 when he presented on hospital radio in Pontefract, Leeds and Harrogate. Jon had his first taste of local commercial radio at the age of 16 when he met the Ridings FM team on a roadshow and quickly became involved at the station with promotions and also as a studio assistant. In 2000 Jon landed a job working as a mobile disc jockey for a reputable disco company working at hotels, corporate events and filling in for Magic 828 party nights alongside the late radio presenter Peter Tait across West Yorkshire. In 2002 Jon then became involved with the now defunct Wharfedale FM, a short term RSL community station within the Yorkshire Dales presenting the breakfast show on weekends. Since then Jon has presented on Spanish FM station Heat FM, has been involved in promotions at Dee 106.3 in Chester, assisted with roadshows for Radio Winchcombe in Cheltenham and spent 4 years as the programme controller at the now defunct popular online radio station Radio 25 Live. Jon is currently working as Programme Director at the Rhubarb Radio Network, a voiceover producing material for various radio stations and media companies as well as recently providing presenter cover for Vale Radio.
