Named after Walter Grant who founded the company in 1942 (buying 2DU in Dubbo), Grant Broadcasters is 100% Australian owned and operated. It is currently run by Janet Cameron, Walter's daughter.

After a purchase of Prime Media's ten Queensland radio stations in 2013, it's now one of the largest owners of radio stations in Australia.
