The NCTJ is set to expand its team of journalists who act as ambassadors for the training body.
As reported on HTFP, the charity originally appointed a team of 21 ambassadors last summer with a brief to promote its values of “quality, trust and diversity in journalism.”
The group attends events such as careers fairs and plays a vital role in inspiring the next generation to consider a career in the industry.
Now the organisation is looking to expand the programme by adding up to 20 new ambassadors to the roster.

Since its launch last July, the ambassadors have already attended more than 30 careers fairs and talks across the UK, promoting the value of NCTJ training and connecting with aspirsing journalists.
The group may also write articles, make media appearances or speak publicly for the training body.
Sarah Rix, head of marketing and communications at the NCTJ, said: “Journalism is a rewarding career that makes a real difference in society, and we want people from all walks of life to feel inspired and empowered to pursue it.
“Our ambassadors play an important role in raising awareness of journalism as a career and highlighting how NCTJ training equips aspiring journalists with the practical skills employers need. Their work is central to our efforts to promote greater diversity in the media.
“We have been impressed by the impact of our current ambassadors and look forward to welcoming new representatives who will help us engage with even more communities across the UK.”
Anyone interested in joining the group can apply here by Tuesday, 20 May.
