John Burgess hospitalised, in good spirits.

Legendary game show host John ‘Burgo’ Burgess is in a stable condition after being rushed hospital last night.

The 78-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit at Royal Perth Hospital as he receives treatment for a bacterial infection.

It is understood not to be a life and death situation and he is in good spirits.

Manager Evan Broadway told The West Australian that Burgess is due to be discharged on Friday.

‘Burgo’ is now a radio presenter with Perth station 6iX but best known for hosting shows such as Wheel of Fortune, Burgo’s Catch Phrase, and Pass the Buck.
