A court reporter is set to run the London Marathon in aid of a cat charity.
Oxford Mail court and crime reporter Gee Harland will undertake the challenge this Sunday in aid of Cats Protection.
Having set a target of £500, Gee has so far raised £700 in sponsorship for the cause.
She was inspired to raise money for the charity because she owns two cats, Pucca and Bear.
Gee, pictured, told the Mail: “I was lucky enough to be allocated a ballot space for the marathon.
“It felt like winning the lottery.
“Deciding to take on the marathon was first and foremost a mental and physical challenge for me, but what better way to motivate myself than by raising money for a charity which helps the animals I love most in the world?”
