BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2020 unveils schedule and broadcast plans

BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2020 has unveiled schedule and broadcast plans for this year’s event, which will take place digitally for the first time from Saturday 24 October - Saturday 31 October 2020.

The week-long programme will bring audiences an array of live performances, masterclasses, talks and interactive sessions featuring high profile BBC Music Introducing alumni, industry experts and special guests.

Over the course of the week BBC Music Introducing LIVE will host five Headline Masterclasses which will take place daily from 6pm on the Introducing Live website. Lianne La Havas, Mykki Blanco, Pendulum, Charlie Hedges and many more have been added to the line-up and will join the likes of HAIM, Ray BLK, Moses Boyd and Tom Misch who will all be offering their expert advice on different panel discussions, including: Women In Music, LGBTQ+ Artists Sparking A Revolution, Keeping Live Alive, Fund It Till You Make It and Owning Your Heritage: A Conversation About Race And Diversity.

Rob Swire, Pendulum, says: “I’m really looking forward to the masterclass with BBC Music Introducing LIVE. I’ll be talking about Pendulum, Knife Party and my experiences of working in music. I hope it can provide some insight to aspiring artists.”

Charlie Hedges says: “I’m really excited to be taking part in BBC Music Introducing LIVE’s Fund It Till You Make It masterclass, sharing my own experiences and offering my advice to aspiring DJs and presenters.”

BBC Music Introducing will also be teaming up with BBC Bitesize to offer audiences an interactive experience during each of the Headline masterclasses. This will be hosted by BBC Music Introducing’s Jaguar and will include a Q&A session which will allow audiences to engage with the topic on a deeper level.

Other highlights from BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2020 will also feature on Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra, 6 Music and Asian Network and will include a special session from Arlo Parks on Radio 1 and Radio 2, as well as a session from Holly Humberstone on Dermot O’Leary’s Radio 2 show.
