Art Monthly launches digital archive

Art Monthly, the UK’s leading contemporary art magazine, has launched its complete digital archive. Every issue of the prestigious publication’s 38 year long history is now available to subscribers, who can access the complete archive whether on the web, or using the iOS or Android app.
Included in the archive is an early interview with Academy Award and Turner Prize winning film maker Steve McQueen, a review of Damien Hirst’s first ever public exhibit, as well as thousands of other snapshots capturing British art history as it happened.
The archive project has been produced in conjunction with digital publishing experts Exact Editions, offering an ideal platform for such an extensive documentation of 36 years of British art. The advanced search functionality, as well as bookmarking and social media sharing features, will perfectly compliment this comprehensive collection of art reviews and news. The Exact Editions platform offers the chance for libraries, galleries and academic institutions to take advantage of this fascinating resource by offering access on a network wide level to multiple users.
The digital archive of Art Monthly is available to any print or digital subscriber to the magazine, with print subscribers able to register for free digital access as part of their subscription, as such any subscriber to Art Monthly will can now browse over three decades of content, in excess of 380 issues with more than 1400 pages of reviews, interviews and features on some of Britain’s most important artists of the past 40 years.
